Almost three quarters (73.8%) of the working age population in Dacorum are in employment which is higher than the national average. Overall private sector employees make up 85.9% of the borough. 

Just over half of the working population are participating in knowledge-based occupations, including mangers and senior officials, professional occupations and associate professional and technical roles.

The National Careers Service offers careers and skills advice to fit your individual needs in the Dacorum area. This is delivered by the charity Community Action Dacorum and funded by central government via the Skills Funding Agency. 

The Dacorum Learning Partnership is a non-profit making organisation which offers free professional careers advice which aims to increase access to, and participation in, lifelong learning for individuals and communities.
